Culture:

Growth Characteristics:

Classification:

(1) Mycoplasmatales and
(2) Acholeplasmatales.

Mycoplasmatales are further divided into two groups:

(a) Mycoplasmataceae and
(b) Spiroplasmataceae.

Mycoplasmataceae contain two genera:

(a) Mycoplasma and
(b) Ureaplasma.
