What types of food magazine have commonly used

Problem: Summarize in a few simple sentences: Food magazine. Two types of food magazine have commonly been used. One type gives free access to food for a fixed period of time, while the other delivers a fixed amount of food. The latter has several disadvantages. Food may be left in the magazine and may be found during a later part of the experimental session when a reinforcement is not scheduled. Such reinforcements break down the stimulus control of the magazine-approach behavior, and lead to responses ("looking for food") which compete with the behavior generated by the independent variables in the experiment. With such a type of magazine, moreover, the amount of time the animal spends in eating varies from reinforcement to reinforcement. Recorded pauses following reinforcement are therefore difficult to interpret. These objections are avoided by using a magazine which presents a supply of food for a fixed period of time. All remaining food, as well as the container in which the food is presented, is withdrawn at the end of the period. Although some cleaning or grooming behavior may follow, the total time occupied by eating usually assumes a constant value. This type of magazine also helps to bring responses to the magazine under complete stimulus control. Approach to the magazine in the absence of the normal stimulus ("spontaneous looking for food") quickly disappears during magazine training. Need Assignment Help?
