The surveys done in industries have pointed out that leading cause of accidents is the overexertion or workers working beyond their physical limits. Approximately 31% of all injuries are caused by overexertion. Collision or collision is next most important type of accident followed by fall. In impact a worker strikes in opposition to an object or is struck. Other types of accidents are fairly equally distributed. The body part which is most frequently affected by injury is back. Thumb and finger injuries are subsequently in frequency. Other parts of body often injured are arms, hands, feet, eyes, head and neck.
