GLANDS -
1. LACRYMAL GLANDS -
Tear glands numbers are 3.
Its secretion is aquous & salty, keeps eye ball wet, give nourishment to cornea. Lysozyme also present in it.
By a pair of lacrymal duct it comes in nasal chamber.
In man glands become active at 4 month of stage.
2. MEIBOMIAN GLAND OR MEIKOMIAN GLAND OR CILLIARY GLAND OF MOLL -
It's oily secrection lubricates & clears the eye ball. Modified sebaceous gland.
3. GLAND OF ZEIS -
Modified sebaceous gland. Its secretion lubricates & clears the eye ball. Infection to it causes sty or Hardoleum.
4. HARDARIAN'S GLAND -
Present in rat, frog, shrew & others. Secretion is oily.
