Retinopathy:
Retinopathy is a disease of retina, generally resultant from either diabetes mellitus or alternatively from persistent hypertension (i.e., high blood pressure). There are two kinds of retinopathy.
(1) Diabetic retinopathy is characterized by minute aneurysms (i.e., balloon like swellings) of the capillaries (i.e., tiny blood vessels) in the retina.
