Details for my study: The purpose of this study is to investigate the connection between fear derived from partners exhibiting Dark Triad traits and the decision-making processes surrounding romantic relationships. This study aims to explore how sex dynamics influence relationship longevity. By analyzing these dynamics, the study seeks gain a deeper understanding of how fear impacts emotional well-being and relational stability in the context of potentially toxic relationships. Participants will be chosen and recruited in a random sample using Prolifics' distribution tools. Eligible participants who meet the pre-screening requirements will receive an email from Prolific providing information about the study and a link to begin. The participants will then be informed of the more sensitive nature of the study and given a consent form via a computer screen. The participants will then complete a total of five surveys. The surveys will be provided in the same order for all participants: Relationship Survey, Relationship Assessment Scale, Short Dark Triad (Self), Short Dark Triad (Partner) and Relationship Fears Inventory.
