Problem: Respond paragraph form. One evidence-based intervention that I could implement to achieve my outcome goal is small group counseling based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT interventions assist students in identifying negative thought patterns, cultivating coping skills, and enhancing their emotional regulation and problem-solving capabilities. Research indicates that CBT is effective in aiding students to manage anxiety, stress, behavioral issues, and academic difficulties. This intervention aligns with my goal by equipping students with practical strategies applicable both in school and beyond. In small group sessions, students have the opportunity to practice recognizing unhelpful thoughts, acquiring positive coping mechanisms, enhancing communication skills, and fostering self-confidence within a nurturing environment. The group dynamic also promotes peer support and helps students understand that they are not isolated in their challenges. Employing CBT-based interventions is consistent with evidence-based practices in school counseling, as it emphasizes measurable outcomes and skill development that can enhance students' social-emotional health and academic achievement.
