Problem:
The catch trial is notable in and of itself since it revealed that the reactions of participants to the prime distractor were at a much higher rate versus chance. The suggestion that participants were disregarding the upper-case term in the prime display is contested. Each of the experiment's pool of words along with the design, were able to create significant negative priming. The inconclusion was beneficial in establishing the sufficiency of our findings.
