Problem: Please summarize the following text
With respect to faking opportunity, individual differences in targeted traits are a given in any selection process: There will always be some candidates low enough to allow faking. Faking, as in lying more generally, can occur only when the accuracy of a response cannot readily be affirmed. Personality test responses, by comparison, are difficult to verify. Opportunity to fake, therefore, offers little traction in efforts to reduce faking on self-report personality tests. What of faking ability? Applicants come to the testing situation equipped to varying degrees with the ability to see how responding to a given self-report item might enhance their chances to be hired. With those low on faking ability, the worst that can happen is that they fake in the opposite direction or on traits irrelevant to the job. The chances of hiring inept fakers are accordingly either reduced or unaffected. Strategies relevant to faking ability are reasonably directed at the more able fakers. Need Assignment Help?
