One social media platform that stands out to me is TikTok. It's interesting to me and a lot of my friends because it's fast, entertaining, and super easy to use. TikTok has definitely changed communication. Instead of long posts, people share short videos that get straight to the point. It's easier to connect with others who have similar interests. For example, I've seen teachers share quick classroom management tips that I can actually use the next day. That makes communication feel more practical and helpful. However, it can also be distracting. Sometimes people scroll for hours instead of having face to face conversations, which can hurt real life communication.
I think TikTok can expand your worldview if you're open to different content. You can learn about other cultures, lifestyles, and opinions from people all over the world.
