Explain the Secretion of Aldosterone
A minimal amount of ACTH is also needed for the secretion of aldosterone.
The secretion of aldosterone is thus stimulated by:
- a drop in the level of sodium ions in the blood
- a rise in the level of potassium ions in the blood
- angiotensin II, and
- ACTH
