Functions of Adrenal Sex Hormones
Adrenal androgens have only weak effects in humans. Their fictions are:
1. It is possible that part of early development of the male sex organs results from childhood secretion of adrenal androgens.
2. Most of the pubic and axillary hair in the female results from action of these hormones. Some amount of progesterone and oestrogens are also secreted by adrenals.
