Determine the cause of a performance problem


Problem: To determine the cause of a performance problem I would first start with the "why" or root cause of the performance issue. Is the employee's performance due to a lack of training and resources or something else? One this is determined, then one can decide if it more training should be provided or maybe moving the low performing individual into another role that may fit their skills.
