Hypermetropia (i.e., Long Sightedness):

Hypermetropia outcomes whenever the curvature of the eye lens is not great sufficient. Light rays are not refracted sufficient and would therefore be focused behind the retina. The condition is termed as long-sightedness since distant objects are clearer than the near ones. This occurs as light rays from distant objects need less refraction than rays from near objects.

Correction of hypermetropia needs placing a convex lens in front of the eye. The lens converges light rays prior; they enter the eye therefore the eye’s focuses the light correctly on the retina.
