Test tube and funnel experiment:
The experiment of test tube funnel illustrates that oxygen is developed throughout photosynthesis. Some branches of Hydrilla are maintained in a beaker containing pond water where a little amount of sodium bicarbonate is dissolved. The branches are enclosed with a glass funnel and a test tube full of water is maintained inverted over the stem of the funnel as displayed in the diagram.
Now the apparatus is maintained in light of sun for 4 to 6 hours. The gas bubbles might be discovered from the ends of hydrilla branches reserved in the glass funnel. In the test tube these gas bubbles are collected through the downward displacement of water. The gas is checked for oxygen. While a burnt splinter is occupied near the mouth of the tube, it glows brightly and shows that the gas is oxygen. The test tube and funnel experiment illustrates that oxygen developed during photosynthesis.
