Biosynthesis of phospholipids:
Every tissue synthesize phospholipids, but at dissimilar rates. In all tissues apart from the liver, phospholipids are synthesized, used and degraded in situ; when in liver large proportion of the phospholipids later than the synthesis is transferred to the plasma and like a matter of fact, liver is practically the single source of plasma phospholipids. Phospholipids are chiefly synthesized from glycerol like explained below.

Biosynthesis of Lecithins:
Lecithins are as known as phosphatidyl choline. The choline that is thecomponent of lecithins is derived via the stepwise methylation of ethanolamine that in turn is created through the decarboxylation of serine. Serine is obtained from the pathways of both carbohydrate and protein metabolism as displayed below.
