Problem: In writing a Comprehensive Critique of the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) I am required to assess the reliability and validity data. There is a 1988 study with lots of psychometric data, but since the BAI was republished with minor changes in 1993, is the older 1988 data still relevant to the newer version of the test or should I only use data published after the test was revised? Like... do the changes to the test make the old data irrelevant? or does the old data still apply to the new version of the test?
