Write an essay explaining your interpretation of the play

Problem

Imagine you have been hired to direct a performance of an ancient Greek play (i.e. a specific tragedy by Aeschylus, Sophocles or Euripides or comedy by Aristophanes). Write an essay explaining your interpretation of the play and the details of how you would produce it. Your essay should touch on as many aspects of the production as possible: the set and staging, advice you would give the actors on their characters, costumes and props, lighting, sound design, etc. Discuss specific moments and scenes from the play and how they would look and sound in your production. You can choose any of the plays we discussed in class or any other of the plays by one of these four playwrights (remember: Sophocles' Oedipus the King and Antigone are included in the e-textbook for the course).

The response must include a reference list. One-inch margins, double-space, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font and APA style of writing and citations.
