Problem: Currently, we have a number of machines that can engage in highly complex behaviors and even sometimes pass themselves off as human (think of Siri). Will the day come when the development of cyber technology grows so advanced that machines become self-aware, in the way that you and I are self-aware? Or will machines always lack something that we have, something that keeps us from ever thinking of them as truly self-aware?
If so, what is this thing? And how do you know machines will never have it?
