Why ecruiting participants may be challenging

Problem: Recruiting participants may be challenging in that regard because potential participants may fear negative internal responses to reliving their memories. They may also be concerned with the possibility of stigmatization of their mental health issues. Stigmatization can range from concerns of embarrassment among coworkers to being perceived as a deranged veteran, either among coworkers or the public, should their experiences or symptoms become known. Military veterans and law enforcement officers are often discouraged from seeking mental health care, which could instill a feeling of unease regarding potential confidentiality breaches. Law enforcement officers often do not seek mental health care due to their concerns that they may not be seen as fit for duty. These issues will be mitigated by emphasizing confidentiality throughout the study process. Equitable distribution will be ensured by including individuals who meet the inclusion criteria as study participants. Participants will be selected without regard for their race, ethnicity, sex, or any other protected class. Representation from multiple branches of the military and job functions within them will be encouraged. Furthermore, individuals will be included regardless of the law enforcement agency by which they are employed. Need Assignment Help?
