Select your favorite author from the assigned short stories for Module 03 and illustrate how the following elements were used in the story. Use the following questions to craft your initial post: What was the major theme of your chosen story? Were there any minor themes that you could spot? If so, give evidence for both major and minor themes. What point of view was the story presented in? Characterization: How are the characters portrayed in either short story? Sympathetically or unsympathetically? What do you think the author was trying to say by portraying his/her characters in this particular way? Dialogue/Dialect: How did the author use the dialogue in your chosen story? Were any dialects (use of local color technique) or regionalism detected in the work? If so, did you find this more interesting to read or more distracting?
