Read pages 28 to 35 in Lane, Bopp, and Bopp, 2003. This reading will provide you with a fuller understanding of the nature of domestic violence. The authors note that abuse takes on many forms and can include physical, sexual, emotional, psychological, and economic abuse, as well as gender privilege, and forms of control. However, the authors identify that abuse consists of two primary dimensions: "the abusive behavior's itself" and "the web of domination" (p. 34). First, briefly explain what Judith Herman describes as the components of "the web of domination." Second, describe how this is relevant to your own personal experience and knowing.
