Problem: Your patient is a 45 yo who is known to your practice. He or she has a hx of hypertension and hypothyroidism, hypertension has been controlled with 25mg HCTZ qd and currently on Synthroid 50 mcg. He or she presents with 2-3 months of fatigue, blurred vision at times, he/she is always thirsty and goes to the bathroom at night to urinate 3-4 times and is really bothering the patient. Also, complains of wounds that will heal slowly (no current wounds). The patient received an abnormal lab letter from your partner so he or she is concerned about it. As a nurse practitioner what is the treatment plan for this patient.
