1) Which of the three components-artifacts, values, and assumptions-should be considered external culture? Internal culture?
2) Consider power distance and individualism-collectivism. Is there a relationship between these two dichotomies? What is that relationship? Is it perfectly consistent?
3) Consider the position of indigenous psychology. According to this position, are Western psychological science methods (e.g., psychological metrics, experimental tasks, researcher behavior) useful in all settings, across countries and environments? Or might they have to be modified to suit participants from non-Western cultures?
