Discussion: Pain
Chapter 7: A client comes to you with pain. You need to determine what is causing the pain. Include the process in the nervous system that is leading to pain. What is occurring in the nervous system? How would you assess the levels/severity of pain? Choose a behavioral technique for managing the pain and how you would implement it. The 8th edition of the text does not include "mindfulness" as a method, however, the 9th edition does. Your technique does not have to come straight from the text, but can come from your own research.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
