What influences what one is expected to do or not do

Problem

Select one public location in society where you engage and cultural/popular cultural ideas influence the interaction. Assume it is pre-COVID times. Popular culture is also the study of the shared culture of groups of people within society so don't limit your selection to media-based experiences. You can select options like the culture in the classroom, restaurant, movie theater, baby shower, a club, book club, game playing groups like board games (be specific on the game and context), subcultural group you engage with, shopping in person (mall, flee market...?), etc. Culture and expectations of behavior are learned through the process of socialization and the expectations about social roles and norms within particular social contexts encourage us to interact while considering the path of least resistance. Apply the work of Goffman and discuss how one is expected to act while considering the space and setting. What influences what one is expected to do or not do (deviance)? How do Goffman's ideas like the theory of dramaturgy, microsociology and dramaturgy, front stage, back stage, impression management, face-saving, setting, and his other ideas apply to your selected location?
