The House We Live In shows how government policies created unfair advantages for whites, resulting in a substantial wealth gap between whites and people of color. Identify and discuss one class-based policy (housing, education, employment, health care, etc), and related disparities for low-income people. Include a reflection on what systemic inequality means for the American Dream's central theme that anyone who works hard enough will be rewarded-that anyone can "pull themselves up by their bootstraps".
