What best serves the patient is to have another doctor that is professional and does not participate in unprofessional actions in the hospital to take care of their needs. If the doctor that is having an affair with the nurse says he will be late if another doctor is available, then that other doctor should take care of it first and then report it to the healthcare administration. If there was an attorney involved or more then taking away that doctor's license is even more effective. The patient needs care and if they are waiting for a doctor another one should stand up.
