Assignment
You will choose one topic from one of the chapters from the syllabus (e.g Leadership, Teams, Communication, etc.). Your task will be to highlight what a successful organization is doing in management to be successful in that particular course topic. For example, how does Google use the following motivation theories (expectancy theory, equity theory, etc) to motivate their employees? For your research, you should a) go to the popular media (Wall Street Journal, Business Week, HR Magazine, etc.) and find articles about your selected companies/organizations as well as b) collect information from the organizations themselves (e.g. interviews, company website).
You will be graded on your depth of understanding of the topic area, the quality of your research, and the professionalism of the paper. You should approach this project as if a senior manager at your future place of employment has asked you to research what other successful organizations are doing in this area of management so that your organization could become better. This paper should follow the style guidelines typical of business writing (i.e., 12-point font, 1-inch margins, double spaced, no jargon or casual language, etc.) and may be a maximum of 10 pages
