Problem:
Some of the main social challenges that occur during the adolescence stage is peer pressure and identity formation. Being a mom to a now sixteen year old and nine year old, this is something that I had to address in my own household. In this day and age the advancement in technology I would say influences some behavior in others and even causes stress. I have to tell my youngest all the time that what she sees online is at times all an act, but never judge other because they have different beliefs, express themselves differently or whatever the case maybe but try to at least understand. When it comes to my oldest he expresses himself with ease and doesn't let social media influence his behavior. Now when it comes to the identity my youngest is having a little issue with adopting things that she gets from other when I know that's not who she really is or just at times bottling up what she likes or how she feels to please others.
