Darwin or Adam Smith?
Some aspects of modern economics were founded on the writings of Adam Smith in 1776. One century later modern Biology was founded on the writings of Charles Darwin. Many of Smith's ideas are still interesting, but very antiquated for use in modern times, whereas Darwin's influence continues to rise as we discover how powerful the forces of nature really are. Smith's ideas were based on man made situations, moral preferences (which have changed since 1776).
