Pulmonary embolism:
- It is a blood clot blocking a major artery in the lunge ,it represent a serious medical problem.
- About 100 MBq of lumpy 99mTc –is injected into a vein .The lumps are too large to pass through the capillaries of the lungs and are temporarily trapped at the entrances to some of the functioning capillaries.
