Properties of Electromagnetic spectrum:
A spectrum can be divided into 3 regions. They are UV region, Visible region and IR region. Monochromatic light is a light which consists of one colour wavelength .A light which is a mixture of several colours (wavebands) is called polychromatic light.
The waves travelling with velocity of light and consisting of oscillating electric and magnetic fields perpendicular to each other and also perpendicular to the direction of their propagation are called 'electromagnetic waves'.
