Question:
When COVID began, I wanted to give my students a safe space to check in to let me know how they are doing. Since then, I have continued to do this. Throughout our class, you will see Wellness check-in posts. Please use these posts to vent, request prayer, and support one another. The Pandemic has really pushed me to be more aware of my student's well-being as well as my own. As counselors, we must practice what we preach and make sure we are psychologically fit to do the work that was called upon us.
I am doing well. I have been prioritizing my physical health lately since I know the winter months impact my energy and I tend to get the winter depression. My awareness helps me to manage this. I am here for anyone who needs to talk and I will reach out if I need anything. I would like to share this passage for comfort:
