Perform a sequence using three different shoulder stands

Problem

Each one of the tasks below is a 'culminating task' in an educational gymnastics lesson. Choose one of these tasks and construct TWO progressive tasks that you would do with learners. One of these tasks will be in the movement exploration part of the class and one will be in the movement development part of the class. Both these progressive tasks should prepare the learners to participate in the culminating task. Use the BT-ST-ET-RT structure for each progressive task. Use open ended phrasing and phrase the tasks as if you were teaching the tasks.

The four culminating tasks from which you may choose one are below:

A. Students will perform a sequence using four different shapes on four different surfaces (eg, bench, trap box, BOSU wedge mat, mini trampoline), one shape per surface, using weight transfers to enter and exit the shapes. (This could be a theme of Weight transfers with a sub theme of shapes).

B. Students will perform a sequence using three different shoulder stands (that is, shoulder stands with different shapes and/or leg positions), three different weight transfers, and at least two balances that require the student to get the center of gravity and other body parts over a limited sized base of support. The Shoulder stands cannot double as the balances. (This could be a theme of Balance with a sub theme of weight transfers)

C. Students will perform a sequence on the mat using three distinctly different balances, functional weight transfers to exit the balances, and four different forms of traveling. You must travel around the mat at least once. (This could be a theme of Balance with weight transfers as a sub theme and locomotion as another sub theme)

D. Students will perform a sequence using four different shapes at four corners of the mat and three different shapes on three different surfaces. Use all five forms of weight transfers to enter and exit the shapes and to transition across the mat and onto and off the surfaces. (This could be a theme of weight transfers with a sub theme of shapes).
