PATTERN OF GROWTH -
1. ISOMETRIC -
In it an organ grows at the same rate as the rest of body. External form of body is not changed. eg. fish, locust.
2. ALLOMETRIC -
An organ grows at a rate differnt from that at which the body grows.
eg. in mammals different parts of body.
Note :- Growth is under control of thymosine, thyroxine and STH.
