GROWTH RATE IN ANIMALS -
Growth rate is different at different periods of life.
Growth period in human may be studied in 5 steps -
(i) Prenatal - In gestation period for 9 month.
(ii) Infantile - Upto 10 months of age.
(iii) Earlychildhood - After 10 months upto 5 yrs.
(iv) Juvinile - After 5 yr. upto puberty.
(v) Adolescent plus postadolescent - After 14 yrs. upto 22 yrs.
