Problem: I have learned that social psychology is the study of how the actual, imagined or implied presence of others influences the thoughts, feelings or behaviors of other people. The primacy effect takes place when the very first impression of someone is influenced more heavily then by the information that follows regarding that person later on. I have also learned that difference between situational attribution and dispositional attribution where the former involves attributing someone's behavior because of an external cause (not because of one's own fault) and the latter attributes the person's behavior because of their personality trait, motive or their attitude. 2. I will apply this knowledge by giving people benefit of the doubt before making assumptions about them. As a caregiver, I meet people from different backgrounds and understanding that someone's behavior may be caused by stress, illness or personal circumstances will help me respond with more empathy instead of judging them too quickly. I also want to be more aware of my own first impressions and make an effort to get to know people before forming an opinion about them. In two sentences comment on this post. Need Assignment Help?
