Question: Something that I learned from the video was that there were different stages/levels of sleep and several types of stimulus and responses. There was REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep and NREM (Non-Rapid Eye Movement) sleep which both played an important role for our brain and body during sleep. I learned that unconditional responses happen naturally/unlearned from unconditional stimulus such as drooling or salivating when we see and taste food. On the other hand, conditional responses are responses that we have learned from a neutral stimulus after being repeatedly paired with an unconditional stimulus which then causes that stimulus to eventually trigger a reaction of its own. I will apply this new information by getting enough REM and NREM sleep so that my brain and body can function better everyday. I will also understand why we naturally act the way we do when we respond to an unconditional stimulus and how we learn to act/behave towards a conditional stimulus. in two sentences comment on this class discussion post.
