Is social media is completely bad for democracy

Problem: I do not think social media is completely bad for democracy, but I do think it can become a problem when people believe everything they see without checking if it is true. One thing I have noticed is that social media makes information spread incredibly fast, whether it is accurate or not. That can help people stay informed about elections, new laws, or important events, but it can also spread rumors and conspiracy theories before anyone has time to fact-check them. I also think the algorithms on many apps show users more of what they already agree with, which can make people less willing to listen to different opinions. At the same time, social media gives everyday people a chance to speak up and share ideas that might not be covered by traditional news outlets. That is something I see as a positive. I do not think it is realistic to completely remove social media from our lives because so many people use it for communication, work, school, and news. Instead, I believe the better solution is teaching people how to think critically and verify information before sharing it. In the end, I think social media is like any other tool. It can be useful or harmful depending on how people choose to use it, and being a careful user is more important than avoiding it altogether. Do you agree? Be very very very brief!!!!
