A Bi-Bi educational model implies that a natural sign language (American Sign Language - ASL is an example) is used as the main language for learning, along with the teaching of the second language of English. One of the key advantages of choosing the Bi-Bi education approach is full language access. As the sign language is visual, it would eliminate the need to make sense of fragmented information from the auditory channel. In addition, I believe there is also great value in the cultural aspect of a bilingual-bicultural program.
