Respond to the following:
• Imagine you are a high-ranking official in a federal agency. Describe the role your organization plays in intelligence and counterterrorism activities. Summarize how the role of the agency you chose is different when compared to the other agencies' roles in regard to intelligence and counterterrorism. Explain whether or not you were aware of that agency's role in intelligence and counterterrorism.
• Analyze the importance of both intelligence and counterintelligence in the fight against terrorism. Create an argument for which is more important to homeland security: intelligence or counterintelligence. Support your argument.
Discussion 2: "Weapons of Mass Destruction"
Respond to the following:
• Decide what the biggest concern is in regard to each of the three types of weapons of mass destruction: nuclear, biological, and chemical. Support your decisions.
• Imagine you are a leader in a terrorist organization. Discuss the two biggest factors constraining you from using weapons of mass destruction. Explain why these two factors are the principle deterrents.
