Identify which type locus of control your patient has

Problem

Esther, a Jewish-American 87-year-old has fractured her hip and has arrived to the nursing home for rehab, hoping to return home after learning to use a walker. Prior to injury Esther was independent. Esther and her family arrive at the facility with many concerns and if the facility can not provide Esthers needs appropriately, it could hinder her progression. Esther's hip pain, kosher diet, bowel habits and anxious/expressive emotional state are all huge concerns that are weighing heavy on Esther and her daughter, Bernice. Planning of care, effectively communicating with Esther and breaking the barriers that could jeopardize her progression is everyone's top goal.
