Identify unethical decision-action experience at workplace

Assignment task: The focus of the journal is on assessing moral intensity, locus of control, and nudging. Please review one of the incidents of unethical decision or action before (yours, your peer's, your supervisor's, or subordinate's) and use this scenario to discuss the environmental factor (moral intensity), personal factor (locus of control), and potential action (nudging).

It's your personal journal reflection, serving the purpose to help your own decision-making in the future, so the assignment allows for flexibility and a variety of approaches. But keep in mind your journal will be graded on content, organizing structure, as well as practicality (see attached rubric).

Some required components in the journal include:

  • Identify the unethical decision or action experience at the workplace.
  • Assessing the moral intensity of that specific experience.
  • Incorporate your own LOC tendency.
  • Discuss a plan to address this decision-making by nudging (you are already aware, now think about the actions to address these biases). How could the occurrence of this choice distortion be prevented or mitigated using nudging?
