1. How would an increase in the minimum wage rate affect the demand for union workers? Should union workers favor or oppose minimum wage laws? Explain.
2. How serious is unemployment today? Answer the four questions posed in this chapter. (Hint: you will find the numbers you need in the periodicals, Economic Indicators or Monthly Labor Review, or in the annual Economic Report of the President.)
