Assignment Task 2:
Problem 7: Describe in your own words how the ubiquitous nature of automobiles changed the United States? In your view, what are the positives and negatives of the current way we use automobiles in the U.S.?
Describe the optimal future regarding automobile use in the United States to decrease the negative and increase the positive impacts. How can this be accomplished?
Problem 8: The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) controls over 70 percent of the known oil reserves, 40% of world's oil production. Describe the political and economic influence OPEC has especially given the instability in the Middle East recently? Also, related to energy exploration in America, make an argument for whether OPEC influences state-side fossil fuel exploration and drilling.
