6. Consider a persuasive argument for the passage of your public health policy supported with statistics and information that is unique to your community.

Project: Advocacy Plan (2 to 3 pages paper and 1 page letter)

To complete this section of your Course Project, address the following:

1. Describe your public health advocacy plan including a brief overview and the steps in the plan.

2. Describe the policy change that you are requesting, including details such as how the policy might bring change to your community.

3. Explain why the policy change is appropriate for your particular community and why your community might adopt the change.

4. Explain how you might implement media advocacy strategies within your plan.

5. Write a 1-page letter to either an editor of a local media source or an elected official in your community advocating your cause. Include the contact information for the selected recipient.

6. Be sure to write a persuasive argument for the passage of your public health policy supported with statistics and information that are unique to your community. Refer to the guidelines provided in the "Writing Letters to the Editor" and "Writing Letters to Elected Officials" articles.

Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:

i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.

ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.

iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
