Discussion Post: Gender and Advertising
a) Based on the readings on popular culture and gender, select either a print advertisement or commercial that represents either femininity or masculinity as part of its message. Post the link to the commercial or upload the print advertisement for your peers to view.
b) Explain, using evidence from this week's readings and resources, how gender is represented in your selected commercial or print advertisement. Be sure to connect your ideas back to the various "scripts" of gender outlined in your readings.
The response must include a reference list. Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
