Problem: Read this paragraph. Which kind of pattern does it have? Mahatma Gandhi was one of the world's greatest leaders, and he had an amazing life. He was born in 1869 in Porbandar, India. At the age of 13, Gandhi got married to a girl the same age. During their marriage they had four children. In 1888, Gandhi went to London to study law, and he returned to India in 1891 to become a lawyer. Two years later, he went to South Africa to work. After working 13 years in South Africa, he saw how Indians were discriminated against in that country. He started a nonviolent protest against the government. He wanted everyone to be treated equally. In 1913, he was arrested and jailed after leading 2,500 Indians in a nonviolent demonstration in South Africa. After his time in jail, he went back to his native country and began to work for the people of India. During this time, he led many peaceful demonstrations against the government, asking for equal treatment of all the people in India. One part of his demonstrations was fasting. Fasting is when you don't eat anything. Gandhi fasted to make a political point. He became very
