Problem:
Academic performance (AP) is influenced by both cognitive abilities (IQ) and personality especially the Big Five: Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness to Experience, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness. Research has consistently shown that Conscientiousness is a strong predictor of academic success, often correlating positively with grade point average (GPA). Conversely, the relationship between intelligence and academic outcomes has been mixed, with some studies showing negligible associations. Additionally, Extraversion tends to have little impact on AP. Therefore, it's vital to investigate how intelligence, Conscientiousness, and Extraversion each uniquely affect academic performance when analysed together. This study focuses on university students at the University of Adelaide (UoA), aiming to provide insights that can enhance educational strategies and interventions. Does this look ok?
